I found a few simple go-to projects this past fall that I really, really enjoy and have turned out with good results. And in knitting and crochet, that is usually a challenge for me! I like projects that are simple, practical and not too time-consuming. That's usually the knitting hang-up that I have...a project feels like it takes forever and then ends up not being that great.
Enter the cowl. And another. Cowls are such a quick and simple and satisfying projects!
A crochet project that I have really enjoyed is making the Mighty Mug Cozy. It takes me less than 2 hours to crochet and it always turns out so nicely. I like to keep a stash of World Market white mugs on hand to gift with the cozies. I used these as teacher, friend and family gifts this year.
What's your yarn inspiration these days?

Awesome! Loving the cowls :)
I've been loving the self ruffling scarves (Red Heart Sashay). I've recently started a shawl that is taking forever because I keep messing up.
love the cup cozies. i have had the hardest time finding knitted patterns for them, though.
