February Manifesto

Well tomorrow begins what I call "the longest month of the year"... everyone has cabin fever, the weather drones on in its chill, and sickness always seems to invade our bodies.

This February I vow to:
  • get outside in nature with my children
  • practice gratitude daily for all the good and gracious gifts
  • drink a green smoothie every day
I hope having these simple goals will bring mental, spiritual and physical health to me and to my family. Instead of dread, I want to meet the challenge that-is-February with joy and good things.

How about you?

Eeek, February! I know. I'm hoping we'll be blessed with some sunny weather (and not snow) this year.

And, my vow for good cheer is to get up in the mornings with the light and start my day!

Good post.
I want to get the courage to go xcountry skiing in the huge fields across the road. I keep putting it off, but I need to get some practice before the predicted 36 inches of snow hits us on Wednesday, so I can ski to the cows!!!

The thing I always know about February is that my daffodils start pushing their little noses up through the earth, and from then on, all I have to do is peek out at them coming along and know spring is COMING!!!
