Grace on the Hudson River

That's all I have to say right now. My husband Mike and my brother-in-law David were in the plane crash in the Hudson River today. They are both doing well. Dr. Phil said tonight on Larry King Live in regards to the pilot and the crash and the miracle of it all...

"It's been a good good day."

I am in shock and shaky and can't wait until he can get home tomorrow. Mike said that he looked at a fellow passenger in the ferry terminal and said, "Today wasn't my time." And the passenger said, "It was your time...your time to be rescued."

How profound.

Pray for our peace and for us as we process all of this.

Thank you!

Wow, wow, wow. I read your blog regularly, and was shocked to read your update this morning. Praise the Lord for the way everything played out yesterday, and for the response of your husband and fellow passenger.
As I was watching it on the news this morning, I found myself in tears. One man was interviewed and he said he was so thankful for the pilot so his two year old daughter could still have a daddy and wife could still have a husband. I fell into tears - and now I am doing the same for you and your family. I am praising the LORD for the way He guided the pilot, and for the way He is working in your life. Just wanted to let you know.

Hi, Aimee. This is Kelly Long (Michael's wife). We are praising God for his mercy and grace upon your family and each of the people who were aboard that flight. I actually found out about Mike being aboard from Scott Matthews in Macedonia just a short time after it happened. Amazing how technology works. When I called Michael to at work, he immediately began praying for Mike and was so grateful that "Sully" had the experience, expertise and presence of mind to guide that plane down. Ultimately, we know that none of that was possible without our God who can do abundantly more than we ask or imagine. Praising God for this miracle!

I am rocked. We never know what is going to happen. The world is such a small place. People are real. People are close, people are affected by others. I am so grateful that you have been spared such a huge loss. Thankyou God, thankyou, thankyou and for your children, all 5 thankyou.
